Methods For Creating Classical Form
Daniel Williams is a traditionally trained sculptor who applies his knowledge and experience of creating physical sculpture to the digital space. His studio practice is one of persistent self-education and correction in pursuit of learning the human form in its entirety. It is his belief that, in the language of art, human bodies garner the most empathy and are the most appealing way to convey narrative to an audience.
Daniel will teach you the workflows for sculpting realistic human form miniatures. You will learn how to use anatomical knowledge to create a working logic for building realistic human form.

What You’ll Learn
The course will go through the full process of sculpting anatomically correct human form. The emphasis will be on achieving a deep understanding of proportions, planes, bony landmarks, symmetry within asymmetric poses, muscle stretching and compression. Students will learn how to get the most out of the various tools to get the best results.
By the end of the course, students will learn how to create believable naturalism sculptures, through the deep process of human anatomy. They should also have gained knowledge on how to troubleshoot new problems or tasks.
This workshop on Dynamic Figure Sculpting will consist of six modules of live sessions. You’ll learn core classical sculpting skills and workflows and be part of a community of artists working to achieve next level quality in their work.
By the end of the workshop you'll:
- Know the principles of anatomy.
- Know the workflow for creating classical form.
- Have improved understanding of proportions.
- Have created your own dynamically posed figure.
