Learn the fundamentals of facial blendshapes in this hands-on workshop with Lead Modeller at Framestore, Crystal Bretz.

You’ll start with reference gathering, facial anatomy, and FACS basics, then sculpt a complete set of facial shapes in ZBrush - covering eyes, brows, mouth, nose, and secondary motion. You’ll also learn how to bring your shapes into Autodesk Maya for basic setup and testing.

By the end, you’ll have a full set of facial blendshapes, a working Maya setup, and the foundational skills to apply these techniques to both human and creature characters.
