COURSE OVERVIEW

AI GAME DEVELOPMENT BOOTCAMP

AI-Powered Unreal Game Development

Technical art and game programming are colliding with generative AI faster than most courses can keep up — and most existing Unreal Engine training still centers entirely on Blueprints or C++ alone, leaving students to stitch together fragmented AI tutorials meant for web and enterprise software.

This course takes a different approach. You'll use AI as a supervised production assistant — not an autopilot — inside a controlled development process: efficient prompting, human review checkpoints, code-quality checks, and asset-validation pipelines. You'll build two increasingly complex playable games in Unreal Engine, work directly in Epic's Verse language and in C++, and finish with a capstone project built for your portfolio.

WHY ENROLL

THREE REASONS THIS COURSE IS DIFFERENT

SPEED WITHOUT LOSING CONTROL

Learn to leverage AI tools — including free ones — to dramatically speed up development with UEFN and Unreal, while keeping full control and maintainability of your work.

MASTER EPIC'S NEXT-GEN STACK

You've heard the promises about AI productivity but still have real questions about asset generation, game design, and gameplay mechanics. You want a repeatable framework, not a gimmick.

GET AHEAD OF UE6

Prepare for the next generation of Unreal Engine releases, which — starting with UE6 — will gradually fade out the visual-scripting Blueprint system.

WHO THIS COURSE IS FOR

THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU IF...

YOU'RE PASSIONATE ABOUT GAME ART, DESIGN, OR PROGRAMMING

Basic game engine experience and some Unreal Engine understanding are helpful but not required — this is an intermediate course built to meet you where you are.

YOU WANT A REAL PROCESS FOR USING AI, NOT JUST HYPE

You've heard the promises about AI productivity but still have real questions about asset generation, game design, and gameplay mechanics. You want a repeatable framework, not a gimmick.

YOU WANT SKILLS TO FUTURE-PROOF YOUR UNREAL SKILLS

The announced deprecation of Blueprints in future UE6 versions has non-technical Unreal developers worried. You want to be ready for where the engine is headed.

THE PROBLEM WITH MOST AI + UNREAL CONTENT

FRAGMENTED RESOURCES, NO END-TO-END WORKFLOW

Most existing Unreal Engine courses — including Vertex School's current offerings — focus primarily on Blueprints or C++. Only a handful cover UEFN, and fewer still teach Verse in any depth. Meanwhile, most AI-assisted development content is built for web and enterprise software, not game production.

As a result, students are left combining fragmented resources without ever seeing the full production pipeline — from prompt to portfolio-ready asset.

STARTING WITH UE6, BLUEPRINT VISUAL SCRIPTING WILL GRADUALLY FADE OUT OF UNREAL ENGINE.

This course gives non-technical and technical developers alike a structured, practical path through that transition — with a repeatable process for using generative AI confidently, without losing creative or technical control.
