Laying out the hair cards has always been a tideous process and people usually say it needs a lot of practice. Now, after this course I would rather say yes practice is a must but knowing the proper process for laying haircards on different hairstyles is the preliminary fact. Jansen's process for laying cards on various rows was very powerful. His use of Transfer Maps for baking in Maya was also very helpful for getting me over my reliance on Arnold.
