WORKSHOP
Designing Ornamentation In Rhino & ZBrush
Ornamentation design, for multiple industries
- Rhino-Grasshopper interface
- Sorting Objects With Scripts
- Sculpting Details
- Generating Mesh
Ornamentation for games, architects, & designers
Dmitrii is a restorer with 27 years of experience. He had started as an apprentice in early 90's and since then, has worked in all the palaces of Saint Peterburg Russia, Moscow Kremlin and on various private projects. Understanding the importance of modern technology, he started to learn how to apply CG to the architectural heritage field around ten years ago. Mostly working as an ornamental plaster designer, his range spans from CAD and CNC to 3D sculpting and visualisation.
Dmitrii will teach you the workflows for Rhino-Grasshopper interface. Cleaning and refining details in ZBrush. You will learn all the steps in the pipeline and understand how to prepare, clean, and present your ornamentation model.
What You’ll Learn
The course will go through the full process of generating your mesh, sculpting, and preparing ornamentation models for presentation. The emphasis will be learning the Rhino-Grasshopper interface and how to create your own useful program snippets without learn code. Students will learn how to get the most out of the various tools to get the best results.
By the end of the course, students will learn the pipeline to create ornamentation. They should also have gained knowledge on how to troubleshoot new problems or tasks.
This workshop on Ornamentation will consist of six live lessons. You’ll learn core design, practical skills and workflows that can be used in a variety of different industries. You will also be apart of a community of artists working to achieve next level quality in their work.
By the end of the workshop you'll:
- Know the principles for spreading and sorting objects with scripts, advanced NanoMesh analogue.
- Know the workflow for Rhino-Grasshopper interface
- Have mastered your way through the ornamentation pipeline.
- Have created your own computer-generated mesh
