Introduction to Modular Environment Art with Jacob Claussen

Build a Complete Modular Environment in 6 Weeks!

When? Wednesdays at 12 PM PT (Pacific Time - Los Angeles), first official live session on May 20th at 12 PM PT

This workshop is designed to help you go from scattered 3D skills to a finished, portfolio-ready environment.

Most tutorials teach tools in isolation—modeling here, UVs there—but never show how it all comes together in a real production pipeline.

In this 6-week, project-based workshop, you’ll build a modular diorama from start to finish in Unreal Engine 5, learning how professional environment artists actually create game-ready scenes.

With clear weekly goals and live feedback, you’ll finally move past unfinished projects and create work you’re proud to show.

This workshop is perfect for:

  • Beginner to intermediate artists with basic Maya or Blender knowledge

  • Artists who understand tools but haven’t completed a full environment

  • Anyone looking to break into environment art with a structured, guided project

During the workshop, you will:

  • Plan and block out a modular environment in UE5
  • Build a modular kit (walls, floors, trims, corners) using grid-based workflows
  • UV unwrap assets with consistent texel density
  • Apply tiling textures and work with trim sheet concepts
  • Create materials and blend textures using vertex painting
  • Assemble, light, and polish a complete diorama scene
  • Present your work with clean portfolio screenshots and a workflow breakdown

What’s included:

  • 6 weeks of live training
  • Private course group
  • All live session recordings available for download
  • Full-time technical support
  • Certificate of completion
  • 15-day money-back guarantee
